Accurate diagnosis through detailed care and specialized imaging

The Chiropractic physicians at Concept Chiropractic are alternative care practitioners. The conservative treatment plans at our clinic do not incorporate the use of prescription drugs or surgery. If your doctor at Concept Chiropractic diagnoses a condition outside of this conservative scope, such as a fracture, dislocation, or an indication of a systemic disease, they will refer you to the most appropriate health care practitioner suited to handle your condition. The doctor will also ask for your permission to inform your family physician of the care you are receiving at Concept Chiropractic to make sure that your chiropractic care and medical care are properly managed and coordinated.

In some cases, your doctors at Concept Chiropractic might order tests to help accurately diagnose your condition. An x-ray can reveal many helpful details such as narrowed disc space, fractures, bone spurs, or arthritis. A computerized axial tomography scan (a CT or CAT scan) or a magnetic resonance imaging test (an MRI) may show bulging discs, herniations, tumors, cysts, space occupying lesions, and other soft tissue abnormailities.. If nerve damage is suspected, your doctor may order a special test called electromyography (an EMG) to measure how quickly your nerves respond to stimulation.

If you have had any type of imaging (X-rays, MRI, etc.) for an injury you seek care for, please bring them with you on your first visit. However, if you have not had any type of imaging performed and your condition warrants a new set of films, X-ray services ARE available at Concept Chiropractic.
